How Did We Get Here?

I started as a young kid, right out of high school. I barely knew what lifts and other equipment were. I learned why people needed them. As I learned, I found that there are usually four problems with automotive shop equipment:

1. Lots of equipment was just shipped out. A "get their order, get it shipped" philosophy was behind the sales representative. Often, set-up or installation, training is of no concern.
2. The operators are not instructed in the proper and safe use of their equipment, nor had they received the benefit of knowing what the tools could do for them.
3. Owners did not know who to call for repair and service.
4. Equipment/tools are often a "black science" subject because users feel cheated, they are unable to get parts or service for expensive items after breakdowns of costly items.
